The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of the button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is that it lacks a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you want to get one of the best self cleaning vacuum robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves along.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you can need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set route.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that is a switch for on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
