Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers love the remote control features of their key fob. By using a smartphone application, they can lock and unlock the car and start the engine and even locate the vehicle.

Locking the Door

Turning off the Alarm

Place your key fobs along with batteries and any other keys on a clean surface. Locate the small black button at the bottom left corner of the key fob, then slide it to the right. The cover should fall off and expose the mechanical key blade beneath.

You can open all doors as well as the reargate by pressing the unlock button on the key fob two times. By pressing the lock button for two seconds, you can also close the sunroof and windows in the event that they're equipped. Reconnect the battery and the alarm should cease. If not then the owner's manual must contain a reset process.
