Buying used baby gear can be risky, even if it's only been used for a short period of time. The rule incorporates the most recent voluntary standard, ASTM F833-13b developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials. It also establishes requirements and testing methods to reduce the risks caused by these products. CPSC staff worked closely with ASTM stakeholders in the development of this standard.
